In 2013 Bell Shakespeare presented a highly successful season of Romeo And Juliet to school audiences in Sydney and Melbourne. A unique event took place on 22nd May 2013, when the 1:00pm performance of the play at Sydney Opera House was streamed live to an audience at The Glasshouse, Port Macquarie as part of the Open House Project. After viewing the performance, audiences across Australia were encouraged to submit questions online for the cast of the play to answer.
