Artist In Residence

Professional artists in schools providing tailored content and long-form engagement

Ready for your next step with Shakespeare? Why not make it a whole-school experience?

Designed to impact the entire school from students to teachers, an Artist in Residence will transform attitudes with an intensive program of active learning through Shakespeare.

Residencies address a range of student needs including increasing literacy levels, self-confidence, self-expression, critical and creative thinking, public speaking and communication skills.

Over one or two weeks, Bell Shakespeare teaching artists will teach student workshops, run teacher Professional Learning sessions, and deliver on outcomes we set with you in advance. Content will be designed in consultation with us, and you can choose from one play to a suite of plays for different year levels.

Bell Shakespeare is a COVID Safe registered business and is in regular contact with the Department of Education in regards to our work in schools. Our COVID-19 procedures and policies align with government advice as it is updated.

The Artist in Residence program broke down these barriers and brought culture, learning and access to our students. Their level of knowledge increased exponentially with each lesson provided by Bell Shakespeare.
