Welcome to Season 2024, where we relish Shakespeare’s highest achievements in the ridiculous and the sublime: A Midsummer Night’s Dream and King Lear.

All the plays exhibit an array of genres; Shakespeare’s variety is unmatched. I particularly love the shifts of scale and focus within the plays, from domestic and familial to epic, and even abstract. In this season we present an early comedy and a mature tragedy, and then later in the year I will lead us through as many plays as I can fit In A Nutshell.
