Bell Shakespeare is delighted to announce a new five year philanthropic relationship with The Nikolaos Andrianakos Foundation.

Through a generous commitment of $500,000, the Foundation has become Bell Shakespeare's Victorian Artist Development Patron, supporting opportunities for artists to develop their craft, build their careers and bring Shakespeare to audiences throughout Australia.

The partnership honours late philanthropist, Nikolaos Andrianakos, whose family established the foundation to continue his extraordinary legacy of generosity, kindness and opportunity.

‘We are proud to support Bell Shakespeare in its dedication to nurturing artists and bringing transformative storytelling to audiences across the nation; this commitment reflects our foundation’s belief, inspired by my father, Nikolaos’ vision, that access to the arts fosters creativity, connection, and opportunity for communities to flourish across generations.' - Theo Andrianakos, Founder/Director of the Foundation.

Artist development is central to Bell Shakespeare's mission. By investing in artists at every stage of the creative process, this partnership will help us continue delivering high-quality productions and education programs that engage audiences nationwide.

‘We are so grateful to The Nikolaos Andrianakos Foundation for this incredibly generous gift. Bell Shakespeare is a national company with deep roots in Victoria. This investment will help us to overcome the rising costs associated with employing and supporting artists in regional and metropolitan Victoria (and nationally). This will ensure we continue to fulfill our mission to be a theatre company for all Australians.' -  Peter Evans, Artistic Director

We look forward to working together over the next five years and to the opportunities this will create for artists, audiences and communities.
