Actors At Work

Actors At Work

‘BRILLIANT! Our students were blissfully exposed to a new perspective of Shakespeare’s plays that blew pre-existing, ‘this-is-boring’ ideas out the window.’
Kate Eadie, Taminmin College NT

Established by John Bell twenty five years ago, Actors At Work brings Shakespeare to life in schools across Australia.

Interspersing original text with modern commentary, four dynamic actors illuminate the classic plays, breaking down any preconceived notions your students might have of what Shakespeare can be.

Bottom has had a most rare vision.

He’s just woken up in the forest after a strange dream involving fairies, magic flowers and donkey ears. Was it just a dream, or was it real? Take his hand and help him piece together his journey through key scenes, playing with Shakespeare’s language and characters along the way.

This is A Midsummer Night’s Dream through the eyes of one of Shakespeare’s greatest clowns. A magical and hilarious introduction to Shakespeare for junior primary.
