GIVING DAY

Bell Shakespeare's inaugural Giving Day was a tremendous success, bringing together staff, members of our board and wider community to raise valuable funds for our Sharing Shakespeare education and community outreach programs.

We are proud to have exceeded our goal of $600,000 to raise over $900,000. Thank you to everyone who made a donation, no matter how big or small.

Giving Day 2

06.06.2024

Our Sharing Shakespeare fund subsidises Bell Shakespeare learning programs for schools and communities that are experiencing disadvantage due to their location or socio-economic status. With the costs of touring growing and the demand for the in-person delivery of our learning programs at an all-time high, the Giving Day provided a wonderful opportunity to ensure that no students, teacher or community in Australia is left behind.

The sense of community we experienced on the day, and the many positive messages we received acted as an affirming reminder of the family of supporters who make our work possible, and the tangible impact of our programs across Australia. Such messages included:

"I am just grateful that Bell Shakespeare exists" - Anonymous

"Our lives are much richer with the team at Bell around us" - Fiona and Andrew

"Bell Shakespeare educating the next generation - thank you" - Philomena

"You have been a benchmark or ages. I'll never forget my first viewing" - Nat

"A light heart lives long" - Rosemary

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported this special day, particularly our lead donors who made the matched giving possible.
