As part of our Hearts In A Row community outreach program, Bell Shakespeare recently collaborated with Midnight Feast in a workshop facilitated by our teaching artist, Pollyanna, and hosted at NIDA.
Midnight Feast is a performance company, founded by Kylie Harris, that redefines artistic inclusivity. They champion artists with high support needs, providing a platform to showcase their talents and embark on fulfilling professional journeys.
Below, you can see some photos of Pollyanna and the artists working together to unpack and workshop scenes from Julius Caesar. The actors then transformed into the bold characters of the play and performed some of Shakespeare's most iconic scenes and soliloquies.
Following the workshop, the artists from Midnight Feast attended the Bell Shakespeare production of Julius Caesar at Sydney Opera House and participated in a post show Q&A, dedicated to the Hearts In A Row Community.
It was such a pleasure to collaborate and create with the performers at Midnight Feast in addition to discussing themes from Julius Caesar with them at the Opera House.
Hearts In A Row is only made possible through the support of our donor community. Special thanks to our Stranger Companies donor circle and the J & W Middleditch Memorial Trust. We are incredible grateful their support and want to express a huge thank you for creating access to these opportunities.
