Student Workshops

“This program is outstanding. It provides opportunities for students to engage in being creative in a positive, supportive environment. We can’t thank you enough for all your support and your belief that a little country Education Support Centre could take on Shakespeare and be amazing.”

Alison Kerimofski, Geographe Education Support Centre WA

Whether you need an introduction to Shakespeare or an in-depth exploration of a particular play, our workshops for primary and secondary students provide a tailored experience for your students in their own classroom, delivered by a Bell Shakespeare Teaching Artist.

All in-person Student Workshops for Term 2 have been temporarily postponed. If you have booked a workshop, we will have been in contact regarding our visit. Please note, we are able to deliver workshops via Zoom during this time. For any enquiries, please email us at

Ideal for secondary students who need an active experience of Shakespeare, Student Workshops are two-hour explorations of a play in your own classroom. Blending an English and Drama approach, Bell Shakespeare Teaching Artists will activate language analysis, themes, key discussion points, scene work and character analysis, with the whole class on their feet. A playful and powerful approach to ensure deep learning and real engagement with Shakespeare’s plays.
