It is our passion to take our education programs to as many schools as possible, but it’s not always within our capability to meet the requests of every school which asks us to visit them.
Since 2005, and the inception of our first community outreach programme, the generous support of our donors has enabled us to transform lives and make a genuine social impact on communities that might otherwise have missed out.
Our flagship outreach programme, Sharing Shakespeare, provides a variety of free or subsidised learning opportunities for Australians of all ages, whether in their own classroom or at an iconic performing arts venue.
Every single gift makes a difference. Below are suggested ways in which you can help us deliver specific programmes, or give us a call to discuss how we can tailor a donor package for you.
TRANSFORM A CHILD’S LIFE
$100 will enable one child to see an Actors At Work performance
TEACH A CLASS
$1,500 will give a class an enriched learning opportunity through a Student Masterclass
GIVE A CLASS A MAGICAL LIVE PERFORMANCE
$3,000 will introduce Shakespeare to a whole class through a Players performance
CHANGE THE LIVES OF MANY
$10,000 for a socio-economically or resource challenged school or community group to visit the theatre for a main stage performance
START A GIVING CLUB!
You can also join together with friends, or suggest this initiative to your matched workplace giving programme to provide an experience for an entire class or group. Or you could choose to give a small amount on a monthly basis.
This initiative, and to be able to offer these opportunities, speaks right to the heart of Bell Shakespeare’s original mission: to make Shakespeare and the classics accessible and relevant to Australians everywhere, regardless of their age, income or location.
Every donation made of $2.00 or more is tax-deductible.
