Mind's Eye, Bell Shakespeare’s artistic development arm, harnesses the best of these ideas and allows them to be put to the test.
Mind’s Eye allows artists to push the boundaries of their form and explore their connection to the contemporary world giving them a safe platform from which they can perform daring feats. It is a place of experimentation, development and risk taking.
New work developed through Mind’s Eye can be initiated by writers, designers, directors, composers, choreographers or performers.
Providing an avenue for writers, Mind’s Eye also commissions playwrights whose ideas reflect the scale and ambition that Shakespeare and other classic writers modelled, supporting a connection to a strong writing tradition.
