Mind’s Eye celebrates three new works that have been developed through Mind’s Eye, Bell Shakespeare's Development Arm.

 

Venus & Adonis is a music theatre adaptation of Shakespeare’s narrative poem and is the first work to be formally produced after an extensive development period. A co-production with Malthouse Theatre, Venus & Adonis has to date been performed in Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland, as part of the 2009 Auckland Festival.

 

Two writing commissions,  Forever Seven by Ian Wilding and The Wreath by Kate Mulvany will be given formal airings with rehearsed readings of these new plays scheduled to take place in Sydney in November 2009.
