Our Staging Shakespeare directing masterclass was such a hit in 2011 we were begged to bring it back.
Many teachers are overwhelmed at the thought of teaching Shakespeare, let alone directing it with their students. In this full day’s Professional Learning, you will be given all the direction you need to stage one of Shakespeare’s plays or direct students to act out scenes in the classroom.
This is the essential toolkit for anyone who wants to direct Shakespeare or simply needs some new techniques and a fresh perspective.
The masterclass includes directors’ tips and actors’ techniques straight from Bell Shakespeare’s rehearsal room, script analysis and scene shaping techniques, as well as tips on creating your own unique interpretation and advice for working with students and actors.
