For the first time, in 2012, we are proud to offer an intensive, exclusive event for teachers keen to expand their teaching arsenal and knowledge of Shakespeare. The Shakespeare Weekender will be held at Bell Shakespeare HQ in Sydney for three days of Professional Learning and live theatre, presented by our Resident Artist in Education, James Evans.
Full day sessions will focus on demystifying three key plays – Romeo And Juliet, Macbeth and Hamlet– exploring plot, character, language and themes in depth, as well as key insights into Shakespeare’s life, theatre and creative influences.
As part of the Shakespeare Weekender, teachers will attend Bell Shakespeare’s Romeo And Juliet (1pm, Friday 11 May 2012) and Macbeth (7.30pm, Saturday 12 May 2012), both at the Sydney Opera House, with a complimentary glass of champagne on the Saturday night.
Places are limited, so make sure you book early.
