Playing to over 16,500 students in 2011, Romeo And Juliet is back by popular demand in 2012. This energetic production, directed by Damien Ryan, will be performed by a fresh new cast at the Sydney Opera House and the National Theatre in Melbourne.
Shakespeare’s classic is presented in a fast-paced, visually vibrant production, with a distinctly Australian flavour. Damien Ryan’s production transports Verona to a small, isolated, drought-ridden community, with Romeo and Juliet’s story playing out amongst the red dirt of the land.
