BUYING SUBSCRIPTIONS

How do I subscribe?

Complete the booking form attached to the 2010 Season brochure or download a booking form and post it to 2010 Season, Bell Shakespeare, PO Box 10, Millers Point NSW 2000 or fax to 02 9241 4643.

MELBOURNE

Ask for a two-play Bell Package when you visit or call Canberra Ticketing on 02 6275 2700.

When will I receive my Bell Package tickets?
On receipt of your form, your booking will be processed by Bell Shakespeare and the venue Box Office. The processing time is approximately four weeks.

Do I need to fill out the companion details?

If you are buying for other people, we would like to provide them with the same subscriber benefits. If there is not enough space on the form, please provide a separate piece of paper with your companions’ details. Your companion will then receive Fanfare , Bell Shakespeare's biannual magazine, and have access to exclusive subscriber offers throughout the year.

Can I sit with my friends?

Sitting with your friends is easy – simply enclose your forms in the same envelope or fax them in together.

Can I purchase additional tickets?
As a subscriber, you can purchase additional tickets for family and friends who will also receive priority seating. These will be ticketed for the same performance you have selected for your Package and you will be seated together.

How do I buy a Bell Package or tickets as a gift?
Gift vouchers can be arranged by calling Bell Shakespeare on 1300 305 730.

What is the transaction fee?
Each booking form is subject to a single transaction fee regardless of how many Packages or tickets you purchase, or how you pay for them.

Who is eligible for the concession price?
The Concession price is available to anyone who is a full-time student or is eligible for one of the following concessions: Australian Social Security; Veterans’ Affairs; Health Care or Seniors. To access the concession discount, a copy of the relevant card must be provided with the booking form.

What is Optus Under 27?
Young people aged under 27 years at the time of booking can access a discounted ticket price (subject to availability, limit of 4 tickets per transaction). Proof of age must be supplied when booking. Identification may also be required when collecting tickets from the venue.

What if I can’t provide a photocopy of my Concession card?
If you are unable to provide a photocopy of your card, please make a note of the card number on the booking form, near your contact details. Card numbers are not kept by Bell Shakespeare and should be provided every time a Concession discount is requested.

What happens if I’m running late for the performance?
If you are running late you may be asked to wait until a suitable break in the performance, or until interval if there is no suitable break. This also applies if you leave the auditorium during the performance. Patrons are advised to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the performance.

How long is the show?
Information on each play is available through What's On. Details such as running times and intervals are not always known when tickets are first on sale, so check back at a later date if the information you are after is not available yet.

I need to sit in a specific area in the theatre, can you help?
Yes. When subscribing note your requirements in the comments field on your booking form or when booking single tickets discuss your requirements with the relevant box office.

GENERAL

What if I misplace my tickets?
If you misplace your tickets before the performance, you are advised to contact the venue Box Office to arrange replacements, or ask at the venue box office on the day (from one hour before the show).

How can I exchange my tickets?
Tickets can be exchanged any time up to two working days prior to the performance and must be processed through the venue Box Office. Any exchange is subject to availability. Patrons are advised to contact the Sydney Opera House Box Office, Ticketmaster in Melbourne, Canberra Ticketing, or your relevant venue Box Office. Tickets are non-refundable.
